TRAVEL – My habits in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Hi everyone,

A few years ago, I traveled to Argentina for two months, without speaking Spanish, I thought this would be interesting to make you discover the places where I have been!

Buenos Aires
So far and yet so close to a European way of life that it’s easy to forget that you actually are so far from Europe.

I used to live in the best trendy neighbourhood of Palermo which would be as Notting Hill in London or Le Marais in Paris as you have many Argentinian designer shops, concept stores, restaurants and this is trendy!

Palermo

I used to go out in Isabel Bar, which is a very nice hidden bar, to a club called Rosebar which is HUGE and very cool! I was having a drink ‘Plaza Cerano’ where you can enjoy latino music.

I used to have my brunch in Bartola near to my house, a nice restaurant with a roof and a terrace with ‘healthy food’. I was having my breakfast or afternoon tea in La Panera Rose where everything is amazing!

I had the BEST asado (meat) in Minga restaurant.

I used to do my sport with the Argentinians in a really big square called ‘Libertador’ where I was running.

On the weekend, I was going to San Telmo market trying to bargain for antiques or strolling around the park of Los Bosques de Palermo.

London – Farmacy

Fancy a good vegan restaurant and you currently are in London?

You would then LOVE, this nature and entirely vegan restaurant called Farmacy!

This marvellous place is located in the lovely Notting Hill and its design is surprising as it absolutely beautiful, refined and subtle!

The menu is entirely vegan, all their products are organic and fresh.

However, the menu is still gourmet, rich and tasty! Yummyy

I am a huge fan of their different earth bowls and their tagliatelle Ai Funghi are delicious (don’t ask for Parmesan, they won’t have it haha)!

They aren’t taking any booking on the weekend!

PARIS vs LONDON

IMG_5072.JPG

Back in Paris for the weekend, I realised that I miss it so much!

Paris and London are SO different, I love these two cities but I can’t decide which one I like the most this is for me impossible!

On one hand, London is huge and there are so many different things to do every day, everywhere. I think London with New York are the most dynamic cities that I ever visit. It never sleeps and it is a feeling that I truly love and makes you feel that everything is possible in this city. In addition, the nightlife is as anywhere else.

However, this is way too much expensive, the tube, rents, restaurants, bars .. all of those things are costly and you definitely need to earn a lot of money if you would like to settle in London and enjoy a certain way of life.

On the other hand, Paris is beautiful, its architecture is invaluable and the french way of life is unique. Strolling around the Seine river, enjoying a croissant or a glass of wine outside on a terrace is priceless (maybe I like all of this because I am french haha).

Nonetheless, Paris isn’t dynamic and creative as London is.
Indeed, Paris seems to be asleep, a city that only stays in its own element without evolving. For instance, the tube close around 2 am in the weekend when London it’s open all the night or all the shops even grocery shops are mostly closed on Sunday when in London everything is open!
I love these two cities and I am blessed I was lucky enough to live in both of them.

PARIS – Favourite place

Hi everyone,

I came back to Paris last weekend and I realised that I wanted to let you know about one of my favourite places in Paris for lunch and afternoon tea.

LE LOIR DANS LA THÉIÈRE

If you are strolling around Paris, in the charming neighbourhood of the Marais, and you would fancy a brunch, lunch or tea, Le Loir dans la théière is a L-O-V-E-L-Y place to go and one of my favourite in the world.

This is a cosy place where you can even sit on a sofa as in a big armchair, enjoying a delicious tea with a healthy meal (or not) composed of, for instance, a quiche or tart with salad and to top it off a very tasty desert .. yummy yummy!

Indeed, all the deserts are homemade and unique! You can find on a table a wide range of deserts and it is extremely difficult to make a choice!

My favourite cakes: the chocolate tart crumble and their exquisite and huge Lemon meringue tart.

Moreover, the staff is lovely!

Definitely, a place to visit even if you sometimes have to queue!

Heineken & politics

Hi everyone,

Yesterday was a special day for me, as you might know, this was the first round of the french presidential elections.. Politics is not a subject that everyone likes to speak about as it often divides people.

Hopefully, Heineken’s motto is “Open your world” to open people’s minds with a new publicity stunt created by Publicis London.

Indeed, Heineken made an experience and invited two people with radically opposed politics ideas to discuss many things. At the end of the experiment, they revealed their political opinions in a video.

Despite the fact that they aren’t sharing the same political ideas, they still would like to enjoy a beer together. Even if this experiment does not really mean something, the message conveyed by this ad is fundamental.

Heineken would like to try to bring their brand in people’s mind as the brand that is trying to bring together people with their differences, through discussions or controversial topics as LGBT, feminism or ecology with the aim to understand others without convincing them.

I truly like this advertising campaign, it is really clever to use this subject to gather people.

Movie of the Month – May: NERUDA

Capture d’écran 2017-04-24 à 11.21.42.png

The story:

An investigator launches a search for Pablo Neruda, a Nobel Prize-winning Chilean poet, who became a fugitive in his own country for his Communist leanings during the 1940s.

My opinion:

As depicted in this movie, the Poet Pablo Neruda was one of the most important communists in his period in Chile. This shows the interesting part of Neruda as he was an artist and a communist at the same time.

Pablo Larraín made a clear analyse of Neruda’s life between his two main life interest, in a funny, bizarre and unique way that definitely needs be seen to understand my point!
